What was it like before you came to see us?
When I first came to Whole Health Nutrition, I had daily fatigue, regular sinus headaches and migraines, very painful periods, and had difficulty staying awake throughout the day. I had very low energy, and I had accepted that having diarrhea more often than not was normal and something I just had to live with. I was also carrying a lot of excess weight, which I worried would begin to impact my health in a negative way if I did not do something to address it.
How is it now?
I met with Aaron Lambert in April of 2012, and by the fall; I had lost nearly 40lbs mostly through eating whole, nutritious foods, eliminating dairy, processed foods, sugar, and wheat. I started taking whole food supplements tested specifically for me and for what my body would best benefit from.
In the past year, I’ve had various “slip ups” and have gone back to eating sugar and processed wheat foods such as candy, cake and chips. Immediately or sometimes days after eating these foods, I would suffer with symptoms like sinus pressure and headaches and bowel irregularity. These symptoms have reminded me that nutrition makes such a huge difference in my health. Every time this has happened I consulted with Aaron, who encouraged me to keep moving forward and make healthier choices. I am still moving forward and with Aaron’s guidance, I have been able to find so many delicious and healthy alternatives to the unhealthier food choices I have made. Planning and preparing to eat healthy is something I continue to strive to do and I’m so happy to report that now, in July 2013, my sinus pain is very minimal, menstrual cramps are tolerable, and my energy level is steady throughout the day. I am regular without any diarrhea or constipation which is wonderful, and my headaches are few and far between. My body fat percentage is significantly lower, and I’m down a total of 50 lbs. which I have not had trouble maintaining for the first time in my life.
