What was your wellness / health like before you came to see us?

I had pain in my legs, arms, hands & shoulders. My acid reflux was so bad I was taking tums on a daily basis. My hands would become numb at night affecting sleep. Also I had gag reflux severely and my overall stamina was awful.  I was exhausted every day.

How has WHNC improved your quality of life? What have you learned? How do you feel?

I now feel good everyday with minimal pain. I no longer take tums and my hands no longer get numb at night which has improved my sleep.  Gag reflux is way down and I now have energy all day long.   I now know that I was eating the wrong foods which were causing me harm. By taking the correct supplements together with a proper diet, I now feel stronger with more energy and have even lost weight!  I would say that in the short time (Four months) I have been at WHNC I feel at least 85% better.

What was it like before you came to see us?

I had frequent and sometimes severe cramps and was struggling to figure out which foods caused my digestion issues. I also wanted to learn how to “eat clean” (reduce sugar and processed grains) for general well- being. At the same time I was working with WHNC, I had my first colonoscopy, which helped me to understand that my digestion issues are mechanical- very twisty bowels- no inflammation.

How is it now?

Though I’m not symptom free, I do have less frequent severe cramping. I also know much better which foods and supplements to eat in order to support my best chances at good digestion, and to just feel better energy wise. In the process, I also lost 10 pounds, which was somewhat surprising as I’d been eating a lot more (whole food) then before. A regular health screening after 6 months showed both good and bad cholesterol numbers increasing the ratio was a bit lower and better.

What was it like before you came to see us?

I had shingles in 2007; I have not felt well since; very sluggish and tired. Then in 2013, for several months I was overwhelmingly tired, had huge lumps on my neck and had a perpetual sore throat. Dr.’s told me I had depression. Finally, one doctor did lab work and it came back positive for the Epstein-Barr virus. Since then I have been horrifyingly tired, with a plugged ear and sore throat. In September of 2014 I developed dizziness, shortness of breath, hot flashes, chills, fainting spells, blurred vision, heartburn, poor digestion, racing heart, more fatigue than ever, nausea, an extreme hyper-startle response and my whole body felt like it was getting a constant electrical shock. This went on day and night for a long time. I had seen several specialists and all the testing came back negative. Some doctors believed I had a mystery medical issue but most told me I had anxiety. After being out of work for two months due to this illness, I used all of my sick and vacations days, so I had to go back to work. My Primary told me that going to work would be good for me as it would give me something to think about other than my health issues. I went back to work; I was not getting much better; I could not even drive. My sister (who see’s Aaron’s sister for NRT in Ithaca, with spectacular results) begged me to see Aaron. I did so out of desperation, and what a life changer it has been!

I had always struggled with my diet and found it hard to manage.  I especially had cravings, night-time eating and binging at parties or when I was anxious. Eventually it all caught up with me. I was feeling tired, very cranky when hungry had mood swings, weakness, digestive problems and chest pain. It was all very nerve racking. I saw several doctors for my symptoms but nobody seemed to have any answers.

I had low energy, no stamina, became easily winded, and had difficulty exercising; fatigue and exhaustion. I have coronary artery disease and had 3 heart cauterizations, 5 stents and a mild heart attack in the six or so months prior to my first visit with Aaron. I could hardly attend the Cardiac Rehab exercise sessions due to fatigue and severe angina. When I did exercise I had to take Nitro for jaw pain (Angina) and or I would be sent home from the Cardiac Rehab session before I could complete the circuit. I would then need to contact my Cardiologist for permission to return to the Cardiac Rehab.
