What was it like before you came to see us?

I had always struggled with my diet and found it hard to manage.  I especially had cravings, night-time eating and binging at parties or when I was anxious. Eventually it all caught up with me. I was feeling tired, very cranky when hungry had mood swings, weakness, digestive problems and chest pain. It was all very nerve racking. I saw several doctors for my symptoms but nobody seemed to have any answers.

What was it like before you came to see us?

Matyas Cindy Head IA I always tried to eat healthy and read about nutrition, exercise and maintain a healthy lifestyle. My weight had crept up through the years. I went to Weight Watchers and lost some weight but I didn’t like all the artificial ingredients that were in the foods. The media provides information overload from TV, newspapers and books. I was frustrated by the latest fad of the week whether it was truly healthy or not. I also did not like the hormone fluctuations that I was feeling along with the afternoon fog and being bloated.

What was it like before you came to see us?

I met Aaron at a workshop on Sugar Cravings (which I had a problem with). While I didn’t have a diagnosis of anything serious, I knew it was just a matter of time. I was very over-weight (morbidly obese), I had joint pain, especially in my knees and a lot of problems with my feet. I also had digestive issues, bloating, constipation, just feeling so badly all the time that I didn’t even realize it wasn’t “normal” not to feel that way. I was also exhausted ALL of the time- I would consume sugar (in my tea, or in the form of donuts, etc.) to get through the morning, more sugar to get through the afternoon (more tea, and a candy bar- or two). The symptoms were too vague to see a medical doctor and expect any response other than “lose weight”- which is easier said than done. It’s hard to commit to an exercise program when you feel bad, your knees and feet hurt, and you have absolutely NO energy.

What was it like before you came to see us?

I was exhausted all the time, didn’t sleep well, my thought process was in a fog. I had a constant stomach ache because I couldn’t go to the bathroom for days.  

How is it now?

My energy level is back, I’m not feeling like a nap is needed throughout the day, I am thinking more clearly.

What was is like before coming to see us?

Before coming to Whole Health Nutrition Center, I struggled with sugar addiction, lack of sleep, fatigue, inflammation, and arthritis. I would feel tired throughout the day and be worse in the late afternoon. I constantly craved sugar and would eat sweets (cakes, cookies, chocolates, etc) without thinking. I also drank a lot of diet soda. Even though I had changed my diet and thought I was eating the right things, it turns out; I had a lot to learn.
